Mako Soccer Club

 

Mako Soccer Club’s mission is to provide a quality youth soccer program for the residents of Port St. Lucie and its surrounding communities which allows all participants to have an enjoyable experience while being trained in the sport of soccer.   Mako Soccer Club is committed to being a friendly, family-oriented organization that provides a fun and safe environment to learn and play soccer.

Established in 1991 as the St. Lucie Soccer Club and re-named in 1993, Mako Soccer Club is a non-profit organization which has had consistent growth in membership. The success in operation of the organization depends upon the dedicated efforts of its volunteers - including a volunteer Board of Directors, volunteer coaches and volunteer parent members who do not have a defined role but lend their assistance when called upon to do so. 

The focus of the program is on skill development, fitness, and having fun. It is modeled to promote personal achievement as well as teamwork. Mako strives to foster fair play, self-confidence, sportsmanship and self-discipline and to encourage these values, not only in our players, but also in our coaches, parents, referees and all members of the Club. 

In creating an atmosphere where players are having a good time while attempting to master the skills of the game, Mako hopes to instill a lifetime passion for the sport of soccer.

Mako Soccer Club seeks to fulfill its mission through the pursuit of the following objectives:

*To offer a soccer program of the highest quality that is available to every child in the community.

*To allow all players to have an enjoyable experience while being trained in the sport of soccer.

*To allow all players the opportunity to play, regardless of skill-level.

*To provide a safe and fun environment in which to exercise, learn the game of soccer and make friends.

*To have a team of volunteers who strive to ensure that every child will walk away from the program with a smile and a desire to come back again.
